Throw Back Thursday...to Feelin' it Friday

I promise I am really going to update my blog soon.  Really.  I have so many posts just ready to write, or half-way written, etc. etc.  So soon.  But for now, I wanted to get down one more quote that I really liked as I came upon it in John Adams, by David McCullough, before I move along in the book.

Quoting John Adams, in relation to the difference of the drama of the stage, and the drama of one's life:

"Upon common theaters, indeed, the applause of the audience is of more importance to the actors than their own approbation.  But upon the stage of life, while conscience claps, let their world hiss! On the contrary, if the conscience disapproves, the loudest applauses of the world are of little value."
